Hey Bride Wedding Podcast, Episode 15: To Hold and To Have – Wedding Bouquets that last forever
Have you researched how to preserve your bouquet after the day? It can really be annoying spending money on a beautiful bouquet that you will simply toss at the end of the day.
That’s why on today’s episode I spoke with Anna Coy, founder of To Hold and To Have. Anna had years of experience on the floral industry, and after helping countless brides, she wanted to make her own bouquet. But her special day was a destination wedding, and flowers were an obstacle. That’s when she decided to build her own crystal bouquet. And the rest is history! Anna uses stain, crystals, paper and personal keepsakes to create unique, modern bridal bouquets, boutonnieres, flower girl pomanders, corsages and any other pieces that last a lifetime. She’s not limited by Mother Nature’s palette, so the sky is the limit as far as colors are concerned. And you can see her design process on an article Anna wrote for Hey Bride, here. As a former florist, she has some real good advice to choosing the rest of your flowers:
- Give your florist your real Budget from the beginning, so they can work their best to give you what you want and keep it in that frame.
- Local and fresh not always means best price. Sometimes imported flowers are less expensive because they are in season where they come from.
- Rely on your florist’s expertise to guide you on the rirght direction into what’s going to be fresh in your wedding week.
